Looking around US, we find underdevelopment, unemployment, devastating infrastructure, poor educational system and a dwindling economy. All these factors contributes to the poor nature and standard of living in our environment.There is no difference between us and the developed part of the world, infact we have more natural and human resources. Africa is a home of smart and talented brains that can transform our dear continent if opportunity presents itself. The only gap between us and the developed world is Quality Leadership.
In Africa, leadership is being handled by the wrong minds that has more of personal interest to national development. Corruption is the order of the day and they pay deaf ears to the ply of the masses. Bad roads, unemployment and economic hazards are the news of every morning. One very powerful secret to community development that is not recognized in Africa is YOUTH LEADERSHIP.
Youth voice is very essential in building a society because youths are the most active individuals in any society that can drive sustainable growth. It is time for African youths to step up and take up challenging and significant roles in nation building. you must not wait to be your country's president before you make impacts! be the change you want to see. Start doing something positive in your own little way. Leadership starts from within, lead yourself, lead your friends, lead your classmate, lead your family, lead your religious group. lead your social group, lead your workers and you will see the change obviously because these sectors together make up a nation. you must not hold a public position before you can be a leader, leadership is about challenging yourself and transforming people through your actions.
Your actions should be a good case practice for people around you, you should be able to drive significant change around your environment and make the best use of the available resources in contributing to the development of your community.
Take the lead, step out of the crowd and drive the much needed change in the society.
If every youth can step out of their comfort zone and take responsibility of their development and the development of of our society, then we can say our problem has been solved!
Don't wait for the crowd! Be unique and lead the crowd to a greater height!
